The winners of the 2009 DV immigartation have been announced. 1,891 applicants from Nepal have been notified for proceeding with the application for their immigration.
Ghana had the highest winners with 7,322 applicants followed by Nigeria (6,041) and Bangladesh (6,023). Although there are only 50,000 visas that can be issued, approximately 96,600 applicants have been notified in the DV-2009 to ensure that all the available spots have been filled.

Diversity Immigration (DV-2008) Facts
• A total of 2,562 Nepali applicants were selected in the DV 2008 program, the second largest in Asia after Bangladesh, and 11th largest worldwide.
• There were a total of 190 countries in the DV 2008 program. Nigeria became the largest winner with 8773 selections, followed by Bangladesh with 5,983 selections.
